Customer tracking pages

Public tracking links, ETAs, map display, and customer messaging.

11 min read

Customers can open a public tracking link for their order—no Shipora login required.

What customers typically see

  • Current status along the delivery progress

  • Map context (store / dropoff / driver position when appropriate)

  • ETA when available

  • Driver name and ways to call or message when enabled

  • Order details and delivery notes that are safe to show

  • After delivery: optional rating

  • After failure: reschedule options when your business allows it

Exact layout depends on branding and feature flags for your account.

How customers get the link

Tracking URLs are generated with the order (SMS/email templates, copy from dispatch, or your own notifications—depending on what you’ve configured). From the console, open the order details and share the tracking link your UI exposes.

Messaging from the tracking page

Customers can participate in the order thread. Replies show for dispatch (and the driver when included). Train staff to answer quickly—this is often the customer’s only live channel.

Privacy and safety

  • Don’t put internal costs or staff-only notes in customer-visible fields.

  • Driver location on the customer map is operational, not a historical stalker map.

  • If a customer reports a wrong link, verify the order id and regenerate/share the correct URL.

Failed deliveries and reschedule

When a stop fails, the tracking page can reflect failure and—if enabled—let the customer request a new window. Dispatch should confirm the new attempt on the board.

Tips for dispatch

  • Share tracking early (at assign or ready-for-pickup) so “where’s my order?” tickets drop.

  • Keep status accurate; customers trust the page more than a phone estimate.

  • Use branding settings so the page feels like your store, not a generic courier.
