Driver app overview
Tabs, navigation, and the core delivery workflow for drivers on iOS and Android.
14 min read
The Shipora driving app is how drivers receive work, navigate, update status, and prove delivery. It is separate from the web dispatch console.
Install and sign in
Install from the App Store or Google Play using the links your business provides (also shown in Settings → Drivers).
Sign in with the credentials from your invite—typically the phone number used when dispatch invited you.
Complete any onboarding / permissions prompts (location, camera, notifications).
If sign-in fails, ask dispatch to confirm you exist under Settings → Drivers (not Users) with the correct phone.
Main tabs
Tab: Active · Purpose: Current delivery / in-progress work
Tab: Queue · Purpose: Upcoming assigned work waiting for you
Tab: Route · Purpose: Multi-stop run (only if your business enabled routes)
Tab: Messages · Purpose: Chat with dispatch
Tab: Account · Purpose: Profile, duty, preferences, sign out
Exact labels can vary slightly by app version; the workflow is the same.
Core delivery workflow
Go on duty and select the location(s) you’re covering.
Accept (or auto-receive) assigned orders / routes.
Navigate to pickup → mark picked up when you have the order.
Navigate to dropoff → mark arrived / delivered.
Capture proof of delivery if required (photo, signature, notes).
Move to the next stop in Queue or Route.
What drivers cannot do
Drivers cannot change business settings, invite staff, edit locations, or manage billing. Those stay on the web console for Owner / Administrator / Dispatch manager as allowed by role.
Tips for drivers
Stay on duty while you expect new assignments—dispatch sees you on the map only while location sharing is active.
Read delivery notes before leaving the store.
Use Messages for blockers (gate codes, customer no-show) instead of only calling when your team prefers a record.
Complete POD prompts fully—required modes block “delivered” until done.
