On duty and location tracking

Going on duty tells Shipora you’re available and starts sharing GPS with the dispatch board (while permissions allow).

Go on duty

1. Open the driver app.

2. Choose the location(s) you’re working (stores you’re assigned to).

3. Grant permissions when prompted:

• Location — ideally Always / background so dispatch keeps seeing you between stops

• Camera — needed for photo proof of delivery

• Push notifications (recommended) — new assignments and messages

1. Confirm On duty.

While on duty, your position updates on the dispatch map so managers can assign nearby work.

Go off duty

Turn off duty when your shift ends or you’re unavailable. You should stop appearing as an active map driver for new live tracking. Finish in-progress deliveries before going off duty when possible.

Location assignment (dispatch side)

Owners, Administrators, and Dispatch managers assign drivers to locations under Settings → Drivers. If you can’t select a store when going on duty, ask dispatch to add you to that location.

Why dispatch can’t see me

Checklist:

• App shows on duty

• Correct location selected

• Phone location permission allowed (not denied / not “while using” if background is required)

• Board filters match your location and date

• You’re assigned to that business/location

Battery and privacy

GPS uses battery—plug in on long shifts when you can. Location is for dispatch operations while on duty, not for customer stalking: customers see limited tracking context on the public page according to product rules, not your full history.
